How My Pool is Made
All Quality Pool Kit pool and spa shells are manufactured using a four-stage layer-building process. Here’s how a Tranquility Pools & Spas shell is made:
Preparing the Mould
A thorough cleaning process is undertaken on the pool mould to ensure the shells retain the highest possible quality standards.
First layer of Gel Coating
The debris-free mould is now filled with a premium gel coating, is left to cure then is quality inspected before applying the next layer.
Second layer of Waterproofing
A vinyl ester layer is applied to the gel coat to waterproof the shell and is left to cure again. Third layer of Fibreglass – A final fibreglass layer is added reinforcing the structural strength of the entire shell.
